Crestet (84) : presentation
The small remote village of Le Crestet owes its name to its geographical location at the top of a mountain crest. It is one of the more typical villages of Vaucluse with narrow streets, vaulted passages, stairways, a lavoir (wash house), a fountain and a giant well dug into the rock. The mediaeval chateau (private property) used to be the residence of the bishops of Vaison. |
