This is the architectural feature at the top of Lacoste. The statue is of the Marquis de Sade, who once lived in this castle and carried on in disgraceful ways. The property is now owned by designer Pierre Cardin who is restoring it as a performance hall and art center. You can see the modern stones on the right.
