Pernes-les-Fontaines is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.
Situated between Carpentras and Isle-sur-Sorgue, Pernes-les-Fontaines, as the name indicates, is the city of fountains... Not less than 40 old fountains mark out the town baptized so since 1936. Mossy, in mascarons, sculptured, colossal or discreet... they multiplied from the second half of the XVIIIth century. The range is so varied and will make the enjoyment of the connoisseurs.
It is a fortified village with old stone walls all around and remains of medieval towers, churches and houses.
