Notre-Dame de Pareloup, old chapel
Mazan is a commune of ca. 5,000 inhabitants. It is located in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in the Vaucluse department in the south of France.
The doors of the ramparts dating XII ° and XIV ° give evidence of medieval period as well as Pareloup's church (XII ° and XV °) reshaped several times, which shelters works of the sculptor Jacques Bernus, native of Mazan. In the North is of Mazan, you will discover the Path of Sarcophaguses: the cemetery is surrounded with a succession of stony sarcophaguses of the VI-th and VII-th centuries, found in fields in the XVIII-th century.
